2016-17 UEFA Champions League comes to an end on 3rd June, 2017 with Real Madrid becoming the 12th time Champion of the tournament. The final showdown took place between Spanish title holders Real Madrid and Italian side Juventus. It was at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales where the match was played. Real Madrid became the first ever team in the Champions League era to successfully retain their title. By winning the finals, the Spanish team qualifies for 2017 FIFA Club World Cup as the UEFA representative. A Summary of the 2017 UEFA Champions League Final

Yes, the Spanish team has done the impossible, something that never happened before in the Champions League era. Real Madrid became the Champion of the UEFA Champions League for the 12th time and the first ever team to retain their title. Speaking of the match, Juventus dominated possession and had 3 major chances of scoring in the first 19 minutes of the match. Despite of all the chances and domination, players like Gonzalo Higuaín and Miralem Pjanić missed to score, thanks to Keylor Navas!

Guess who scored the first goal of the match? Well, it was none other than the very famous and the star footballer Christiano Ronaldo who scored in the 20th minute. With his goal, the Italian team was propelled and their first goal came out 7 minutes later with Mario Mandžukić’s beautiful goal. The goal was proclaimed as one of the best ever in the history of Champions League. But in the second half Real Madrid got total control and began strongly. Casemiro scored the second goal in the 61st minutes giving Real Madrid lead of 2-1 in the match. It was Ronaldo who did the third goal 3 minutes later. The 4th and the final goal was scored by Marco Asensio in the 90th minute and that is how Real Madrid defeated Juventus FC n the 2017 UEFA Europe League. And like it should have been, Christiano Ronaldo was given the title of the Man of the Match.
